My Approach to the Therapeutic Process

I integrate Somatic Experiencing® (SE) — a body-based trauma-resolution method developed by Dr. Peter Levine — with a range of other trauma-informed approaches, including Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Mindfulness-Based CBT, Polyvagal-informed therapy, and creative, movement-based, and expressive arts interventions.

SE is grounded in the understanding that trauma is held not only in the mind, but also in the body and nervous system. Overwhelming experiences can leave the body “stuck” in survival responses such as fight, flight, or freeze, which over time may lead to chronic anxiety, physical symptoms, fatigue, or disconnection.

Through Somatic Experiencing and complementary modalities, I help you safely complete these stress responses, restore nervous system balance, and build emotional regulation. Sessions may include tuning into sensations, tracking subtle shifts, mindful awareness, guided imagery, creative expression, or relational work with families and systems. Everything is paced to what feels safe and sustainable for you.

I am an active student of Somatic Experiencing® and am completing advanced training in developmental trauma and attachment, ensuring my work is informed by the latest research and embodied practices. This integrative approach offers a pathway toward greater resilience, self-trust, and connection — with yourself, your relationships, and the world around you.
